Experience the Future of Sound with Xscace Bonsai

Bonsai: Look and feel

The Xscace Bonsai is a marvel of modern engineering, with its ultra-slim build and sleek design that can easily fool anyone into thinking it’s just a tiny toy. However, despite its small size, it packs a punch when it comes to delivering phenomenal sound. The speaker’s casing is crafted from aerospace-grade aluminium, available in premium matte finishes like Champagne, White, and Anthracite, which gives it a luxurious look and feel. The Champagne colour I received for review was particularly eye-catching, with no visible screws, sharp contours, and a sturdy build that makes it easy to hold.

Setup and placement

Setting up the Xscace Bonsai is a breeze, with plug-and-play functionality that makes it easy to get started. The speakers can be controlled via the 4Stream app on iOS or Android, which also detects other smart speakers in the room, making it a great option for those who want to integrate their smart home system. The app also supports Bluetooth and AirPlay, making it easy to switch between devices seamlessly. However, it’s worth noting that the sub-woofer and air amp are sold separately, which may add to the overall cost.

  • Corner-mount options available for easy installation
  • 4Stream app for iOS and Android
  • Multi-device compatibility
  • Bluetooth and AirPlay support

Sound and delivery

Despite its small size, the Bonsai delivers crystal-clear highs, rich mids, and satisfying lows, making it a great option for those who want a high-quality sound system without the bulk. When paired with the Acacia 6 subwoofer, the setup delivers full-bodied, room-filling sound that is truly impressive. I was able to enjoy the sound in my mid-sized hallway, and it was surround and surreal. Whether you’re looking to read, watch an action movie, or throw a party, the Bonsai will deliver that perfect sound, and deliver a wow effect instantly.

Features Description

Satisfying lows Delivers deep and resonant sound

Where to buy in India?

The Xscace Bonsai is currently available in the premium audio segment, and it’s not listed on their website. It’s being sold through their dealers, who cater to clients who are end-users or architects planning these for their projects. Indian buyers will need to request a quote for each product they’re interested in purchasing. The prices are as follows:

* Single Bonsai speaker: Rs 47,800

* Full setup with two speakers and Acacia 6 subwoofer: Rs 92,000

* Air amp: Rs 60,000

The total cost of the Bonsai speaker system’s installation will be around Rs 1,99,800. Interested buyers can contact luxury AV retailers or reach out to Xscace’s global site to explore import options or upcoming availability in India.

Verdict: Value for Money?

The Xscace Bonsai is not for budget-conscious buyers, it’s a luxury audio product that aims at audiophiles and home décor enthusiasts who don’t want to install bulky setups. If you’re looking for a high-quality sound system at home, without compromising on substance, and are willing to invest big in a sound system, then this one could be a fit. However, it may face some edge-to-edge competition with the Sonos speaker system, but when it comes to size, there’s no competition. Almost invisible to the eyes but loud and clear to the ears!
